General
- Sports Challenge is a site where one can pick results from several sports. At the moment we have tennis and soccer, but many more sports will be added in the future.
After your registration you will be able to pick results in complete tennis draws and both premier and BBVA soccer leagues. Those picks will be converted into points and that way you will be rated among all users.
Sports Challenge will work as a big pot, for each sport each user can qualify weekly and by doing this you can win 1 of the 3 prizes available.
Playing instructions
- There are 2 ways you can play in sports challenge:
- For free - if you want to play for free you dont't need to top up your account but you won't either be eligible for the available prizes.
- Qualifying for pot prizes - if you want to be eligible for the pot prizes you need to top up your account (have enough balance) and press the 'Qualify for Weekly Prize' button for the sport you want to participe in.
- In order to qualify for the weekly prizes you must have balance in your account, for that you need to top up your account, you can do that on the option Setting/My account. There are 3 payment options: 5€, 10€ and 20€. For now only Paypal is available. Please provide your username on the Paypal payment form.
- The 'Qualify for Weekly Prize' button:
- When you enter the sports option, being tenis or soccer and if you have available balance on your account, you'll have at your disposal a button named 'Qualify for Weekly Prize'. This button has the following features:
- If you want to play for free you can do so by not clicking this button, just make your picks both on tennis and/or on soccer and enjoy.
- To qualify for the weekly pot you need to click this button.
- Tennis and soccer are independent, this means that in or der to qualify for the tennis pot you need to click this button in the tennis page and to qualify for the soccer pot you need to do the same on the soccer page.
- When you qualify for the weekly prize 1€ will be taken out of your balance, it's 1€ for each sport as they are independent.
- On tennis you can click this button until the first tournament is blocked, after that you can no longer qualify for the current week, only for the next one.
- On soccer you can click this button until the date/time of the first game is reached, both on premier league and BBVA, after that you can no longer qualify for the current week, only for the next one.
- The eligible tournaments for each week will be displayed on the tennis page.
- The eligible journeys for each week will be displayed on the soccer page.
- When there are tournaments with a 2 week duration the weekly prize will be extended for those 2 weeks.
- The 1st, 2nd and 3th prizes will be divided as follow:
- 1st - 60%
- 2nd - 30%
- 3th - 10%
- The pot will sum up all the users that have qualifyed for the weekly prize, if for example there are 100 users qualifying fot the tennis pot there will be 100€ on the tennis pot. To this value sometimes sports challenge can sum a particular value that can came from sponsors or so.
- To the final pot sum sports challenge will retain 25% for it self, for example for the previous example the final pot would be 100€ - 25% = 75€.

- All payout will be made through Paypal.
Home Page
- At the home page you can find these features:
- Counters for tennis tournaments - these counters indicate the remaining time until each tournament is locked.
After a tournament is locked you will no longer be able to picks results for that tournament. The counters will appear on the home page as soon as the draws are available for each tournament.
- Current Week Prizes - this table shows the amount available for the diferents sports divided by places. Each time a user qualifies the amount is added here.
- Top 10 rankings - these rankings show the top 10 players for both tennis and soccer for current seasons.
Tennis
- At the tennis page you can find the following information:
- Next week tournaments - by the end of each week and while current tournaments are still taking place you can already see the draws for the next week tournaments.
- Current week tournaments - the tournaments that are taking pace on the current week.
- Past weeks - here you can find all the tournaments that have already finished.
- Tennis draws:
- There are 3 different kinds of tournament draws: R128, R64 and R32.
- In the draws the games are picked by round, meaning, first you pick R128 if it's a major and then R64 and so on.
- Qualifiers will be replaced in the draws as the qualification rounds take place.
- Sometimes it's not possible to have all the draws complete (qualifiers) before the start of the tournament, this happens because manytimes the first day of schedule has R1 and qualification games mixed, therefore the tournament has to be locked before it's possible to replace all the qualifiers.
- After you have picked all the games of a round you need to click the Next button at the end on the round, if games are missing there will be a warning at the top of the round.
- After you completed a round you can reset it backwards if you are not satisfied with your picks, you can reset right to the first round.
- In the final you have a new button, Confirm Draw, after you click this button all your picks will be locked for this draw.
- You have to lock the draw before the tournament is locked by sports challenge, if you don't do so you won't be able to pick any more result for that draw leaving it blank or incomplete.
- For corrects picks the points are given according with the rounds:
- Round 128 - 1 point;
- Round 64 - 2 point;
- Round 32 - 3 point;
- Round 16 - 4 point;
- Quarter-finals - 5 point;
- Semi-finals - 6 point;
- Final - 7 point.

- Premier League - here you can enter the picks/results for the English premier league.
- Liga BBVA - here you can enter the picks/results for the Spanish liga BBVA.
- Soccer picks/results tables:
- In the picks/results tables the games are picked up front, meaning, you have to make your picks before the date/time of the game is reached.
- The Confirm Picks can be clicked for one or more picks, you can lock only one game or you can lock several games.
- Once a pick is locked you can't go back.
- If a certain game is postponed this game will be voided, which means it will not count for that particular journey.
- For corrects picks the points are 3 per game.

Check Others
- In order to make sports challenge total transparent we allow users to check on other users picks, of course some rules are in order for replication not to happen:
- On tennis you can only check other users picks when the tournaments are locked.
- On soccer you can only check other users after the date/time of the first game is reached, both on premier league and BBVA.
- These rules are the same as the ones used for the availability of the button 'Qualify for Weekly Prize', the replication is a concern for those who are qualifying for the pot.
